Our Journey

Our story across the past, present, and future of power.

01

Our Past

Geometric Power considers itself a pioneer in the Nigerian power industry. We pride ourselves in placing the first independent power transmission station in the country, as well as being one of the first companies involved in urban electrification.

In power generation, we brought in the first high-efficiency combined emergency power station in 2001 for Abuja. The 22 MW Emergency Power Station guaranteed the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, the supply of 15 MW.

While in operation, the power station successfully supplied uninterrupted power to the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, formerly the National Electric Power Authority, to serve a dedicated distribution network within Abuja and its environs.

Beneficiaries of the project included:

Abuja Central Business District

International Conference Centre, ICC

Federal Secretariat

NNPC Headquarters

Our Present

Following Nigeria’s push for consistent energy supply and the passing of the Power Reform Act in 2005, Geometric Power has been increasing its portfolio of renewable energy technologies and services to match the growing need for alternative energy sources.

As a technology provider partnering with world-class performers from American, British, Belgian, French, Nigerian, and South African companies, and in line with our goal of promoting industrialization and driving positive economic growth, Geometric Power identified an opportunity to provide electric power to customers in Aba, Abia State.

Aba is a major commercial centre in South Eastern Nigeria, and the supply of electric power to the city has been grossly inadequate to serve the needs of consumers. Geometric Power developed a solution to this imbalance through a combination of power generation and distribution projects, collectively referred to as the Aba Integrated Power Project, Aba IPP.
